To the moon & back
Scenario
Your teams are space agencies racing to design, build, and launch a rocket mission. From engineering the rocket to prepping astronauts for liftoff, every stage demands creativity, coordination, and clear communication. Then comes the high stakes live launch—the ultimate test of teamwork.
The game runs in 3 distinct parts.
- Intro Brief: Starts with an inspiring video on the 1960s Space Race, setting the tone and objectives.
- Rocket Science: Divide into 3 departments (Engineering, Life Support, Navigation). During a 60-minute session, teams design and assemble their rockets using Summit branded manuals and kits.
- T minus 30 Seconds: Teams move outdoors for the final countdown. Under facilitator guidance, each team launches its rocket - followed by cheering and celebration for a successful mission.
Why use To the moon & back
To the Moon and Back is a uniquely immersive team-building game that combines creativity, collaboration, and high-energy action into one unforgettable experience.
It’s perfect for organizations looking for an activity that energizes participants through hands-on construction and a real rocket launch, while also fostering teamwork and cross-functional thinking. Designed for groups of 10 to 250, the game works especially well at corporate retreats, kickoffs, or leadership programs, where the message of aiming high and working as one team resonates deeply.
