Athens Clue Race

This extended game will take you all over downtown Athens. If you're a thrill-seeker with a passion for history and culture, this clue race is perfect for you.

Using the digital map on Summit tablets or your own smartphone, embark on a fun tour combining bus, subway, and walking adventures. In teams of 6-8 people, you'll interact with locals, visit ancient and modern monuments, uncover details, collaborate with your team, and most importantly, have fun while learning.

Game Highlights:

• Pins on the Map: Each pin hides puzzles and surprises. These pins correspond to location-related tasks—be it a puzzle, a question, or a team activity coordinated by Summit facilitators.
• Bonus Points: Correctly finding spots or completing tasks earns teams bonus points.
• Diverse Locations: Every spot is unique, yet all are crucial for progressing towards the game’s final destination.

Winning the Game:

• Race to Finish: The first team to reach the final destination wins the “True Athenians Award.”
• Points Matter: The team with the most points will also receive the “Almost a Tourist Guide Award”!

Tasting/ cultural tasks included (based on your preference and time allowance):

• Greek Coffee: Visit a traditional café in Plaka and order your coffee to your taste—in Greek! This will truly awaken the Greek in you.
• Know Your Spirit: Visit a traditional liquor shop. These are rare gems! Order an aperitif and guess which drink you're tasting—ouzo, tsipouro, or masticha? It's all Greek to me!
• Loukoumades Challenge: Try this local snack, dripping with honey or chocolate, which is everyone’s favorite. Tip: Have a napkin handy!
• Koulouri Rings: Find the quirky shop with red-framed windows and doors. Ask for your team’s pieces of "Koulouri" and take a fun, crazy picture promoting this traditional round bread.
• The Zorba Syrtaki Challenge: Follow the music and let yourself go to wake the Greek in you!
• Souvlaki Art (optional): Hungry? Souvlaki is the most popular Greek dish—moussaka comes second. While eating, try to answer a question or two. Tip: Too much tzatziki might leave you lonely!
• The Gordian Knot Challenge (optional): Alexander the Great solved the original Gordian Knot. Can you solve ours? Get your team thinking the Greek way!
• Zeus Thunderbolt (optional): Mighty Zeus has handed you one of his thunderbolts. Carefully bring it down to earth in less than 10 seconds, or risk being burned to ashes!
