What you'll do
Working as a company dictates a respective way to deal with reforestation: the exact location, the trees to plant and licenses involved will be arranged with the local authorities by our expert team.
Before arriving the site, you will have received an e-mail containing a booklet about Greek tree species and planting instructions. The plants will all be of Greek nature and production.
All you need to bring along is your enthusiasm, persistence (working under the Mediterranean hot sun is always tough) & an outfit you don’t mind spoil a little!
The plan is for each one of you to plant one or more trees (0.5 to 1 meter- pine, ketchup cypress etc.) while some of you dig out the pit for the corporate tree (an oak 2,5+m height in size) which will be planted towards the end of the planting, in presence of everybody!
The process briefly consists of:
- Digging of planting pits
- Supply of plants
- Planting and setting up the irrigation system to support trees for at least one planting period
- Creation of an irrigation system (optional)
- Photographs of plants after the dry season
