"Mental health is an integral part of health; indeed, there is no health without mental health." – World Health Organization.

Why

Research from EY shows than in Greece 3 out of 4 employees are struggling with stress, and only 13% of those questioned reported they would feel comfortable speaking to their manager about it and asking for support.

How confident do your managers feel about recognising the signs of poor mental health? Are they able to have open, supportive conversations and create an environment where their team members feel safe to ask for help?

With the rise of hybrid working, it has become harder to spot the warning signs of burnout, stress, or mental distress, and while managers are often the first line of support, many lack the confidence, skills, or resources to offer meaningful help.

This full-day interactive training session provides managers with the awareness, communication skills, and tools to support their team members’ mental health, role model good wellbeing practices, and create a workplace where employees feel valued, safe, and supported.

What

The way managers lead, support, and interact with their teams has a direct impact on mental health. A workplace culture that prioritises wellbeing is not just beneficial for employees—it drives engagement, productivity, and long-term success.

During this session, participants will:

  • Explore the topic of mental health and understand why it is critical in the workplace.
  • Gain a deeper understanding of stress, pressure, and burnout—and how they manifest in employees.
  • Identify early warning signs that a team member may be experiencing poor mental health, particularly in a hybrid or remote setting.
  • Develop confidence in having open and empowering conversations about mental health with their teams.
  • Master the skills of active listening, empathy, and psychological safety to build a culture of trust.
  • Know how to signpost to appropriate support and resources—for their team members and themselves.
  • Role model good self-care practices, inspiring their teams to prioritise their own wellbeing.

How

This highly interactive workshop blends theory with hands-on learning, equipping managers with the skills and confidence to support mental health effectively.

Through practical exercises, real-world case studies, role-plays and guided discussions, participants will explore the impact of workplace stress, identify early warning signs of poor mental health, and develop strategies to foster a culture of psychological safety and wellbeing.

By the end of the session, managers will leave with clear, actionable strategies to integrate mental health awareness into their leadership approach, ensuring a more supportive and resilient workplace.

Who

This session is designed for managers, team leaders, and HR professionals who want to improve their understanding of mental health and its impact in the workplace, learn how to have supportive conversations and provide support so as to efficiently create a culture of trust, psychological safety, and wellbeing in their teams.
