This 4-hour interactive DEI workshop combines evidence-based theory, facilitated discussion, and Summit’s signature DEI board game, where teams work through realistic business cases and make decisions that affect outcomes in real time. Participants leave with concrete tools, inclusive micro-behaviors, and clear commitments they can apply immediately in their roles.

The workshop follows Summit’s GrowPlay® experiential learning approach, blending short theory inputs with hands-on application and structured reflection.
Learning journey:
1. Foundations & Shared Language Clear, practical introduction to DEI concepts, unconscious bias, and inclusion in daily work—focused on usefulness, not theory overload.
2. Experiential Learning through Play (60’) Participants play Summit’s DEI board game, working in teams to solve realistic business cases related to inclusion, fairness, leadership, and decision-making. Teams earn points and progress on the board based on the quality and inclusiveness of their responses.
3. Facilitated Debrief & Meaning-Making A structured debrief connects game experiences to real workplace behaviors, highlighting common patterns, trade-offs, and practical improvement opportunities.
4. Tools & Micro-Behaviors Participants receive simple, actionable tools such as inclusive meeting norms, decision “speed-bumps,” and communication practices that reduce bias without slowing performance.
5. Commitments & Application Each participant and team defines specific actions they will apply immediately after the workshop.
Optional Follow-Up Sessions (Strongly Recommended)
To deepen impact and support sustainable behavior change, the workshop can be extended with two focused follow-up modules:
Follow-Up 1: DEI Skills Lab (90’): Hands-on practice on inclusive communication, bystander intervention, addressing micro-inequities, and navigating difficult DEI conversations using real workplace scenarios.
Follow-Up 2: Inclusive Decision-Making Lab (90’): Designed for managers and people leaders, this session focuses on embedding equity into key processes such as hiring, performance evaluation, promotion, and team decision-making using structured criteria and real organizational cases.
