Team Compass with LEGO® Serious Play®
Why
How is it possible to go where you want to go, when you do not know where you are right now? How do you plan your trip if you do not have the needed compass?
“Team Compass workshop using LEGO® Serious Play® Methodology” helps a team understand where does it stand on grounds of Climate & Productivity. It’s purpose is to help any team realize present status and draft successful future steps.
What
Through this highly interactive workshop, we examine 2 factors that affect the team’s climate (Trust & Optimism) and 2 factors that affect team’s productivity (Accountability & Leadership). We question each factor seeking answers to the following:
- What does Trust mean to our team and what do we do to achieve high trust levels?
- How (and if) does Optimism work for us now and how optimistic are we for our future?
- What does Accountability mean to our team?
- What is the role & characteristics of Leadership in our team?
Examining all and each of the above issues, the team gets to define present status and point out strengths and growing edge issues.
How
Each participant builds his or her own 3D LEGO® model in response to the facilitator's questions using specially selected LEGO® elements. These 3D models serve as a basis for group discussion, knowledge sharing, problem solving and decision making.
Utilizing visual, auditory and kinesthetic skills, the Method requires participants to learn and listen, and it provides all participants with a voice. It also deepens the reflection process and supports an effective dialogue for everyone in the organization.
Who
For those leadership or working teams who wish to understand their team dynamics, outline the bonds that keep them together and point out the steps to become more effective & positive.
