Legend has it that the first inhabitants of Aegina were ants, transformed by Zeus into men so that his son, Aeacus, could rule over a thriving kingdom.

Named after Aeacus' mother, Aegina soon rose to become one of the greatest naval powers of the ancient world. Its famous "Greek Turtle" coins are widely believed to have been the first coins ever minted in Europe, circulating throughout the Mediterranean as a trusted currency.

Now it's your turn to discover their story.

Using the digital map on Summit tablets or your own smartphone, teams of 4–6 will embark on an interactive walking adventure through the historic town of Aegina, exploring landmarks rich in history and local culture.

Each location unlocks a new challenge – whether it's a trivia question, puzzle, photo mission, or teamwork activity inspired by the site itself. Solve challenges, answer location-based questions, and complete tasks to earn points and climb the live leaderboard.

Every mission encourages collaboration, observation, and exploration, making teamwork the key to victory.

When time is up, the team with the highest score will be crowned the winners and take home a pouch filled with their very own Greek Turtle coins.
