Ioannina, the capital of Epirus, unfolds around the beautiful Lake Pamvotida, whose tranquil waters and small island shape the town’s character and natural landscape. Rich in cultural traditions and home to many notable writers and poets, Ioannina also boasts a vibrant artistic and intellectual life, offering visitors a glimpse into the cultural heritage of Epirus.
Divided into teams of 4–6, you’ll explore the secrets of Ioannina using a digital map on your mobile phone or a Summit tablet. Follow the pins on the map, explore the old town, interact with locals to uncover details, collaborate with your team, and most importantly, have fun while learning. The pins on the map, once visited, reveal puzzles and surprises. Each pin corresponds to an on-the-spot challenge, whether it’s a puzzle, a question, or a team activity coordinated by Summit facilitators. Successfully completing these challenges earns your team bonus points.
