Thessaloniki | The Queen of the North
Thessaloniki has many stories to tell, starting by the moment of its foundation in 316/315 B.C. Fortunate to have royal “blood”, since the new city was named after Thessaloniki, sister of Alexander the Great and daughter of Philip II, King of Macedonia.
It was developed rapidly -due to its prominent geographical location- as one of the most important ports, and economical and commercial centers of Macedonia and the Balkan Peninsula as a whole, advantages maintained for the past 2300 years.
What you'll do
Pins shown on the digital map of your mobile phone or Summit tablet will be your tool for discovery. During this fun tour, teams of 4-6 people will explore the seaside town area, interact with locals to uncover details, collaborate with your team, and most importantly, have fun while learning.
The pins on the map, once visited, reveal puzzles and surprises. Each pin corresponds to an on-the-spot challenge, whether it’s a puzzle, a question, or a team activity coordinated by Summit facilitators. Successfully completing these challenges earns your team bonus points.
All challenges are interactive, involving either the surrounding environment or your teammates. Designed to stimulate your team’s collective brain and inquisitive spirit in a playful way, these challenges are sure to engage and entertain.
